Wag & Company is a registered charity enabling visiting dog teams to build meaningful relationships with older dog lovers across the North East of England who miss company and the friendship of a dog.
Our professionally assessed volunteers and their dogs visit people in their own homes as well as in care and medical establishments.
With over 50,000 lonely pensioners in our region, around half of those over 75 live alone and 1 in 9 have contact with friends or family less than once a month and many older people aren't contacted by anyone - the need is huge.

We spend 45 minutes or 1 hour per visit with the dog/s and can customise this to the needs of the dog/s.
If you work long or unusual hours, travel on holiday or find it difficult to walk your dog because of illness or injury we can help.
As we are a full-time business we can offer flexibility and can often attend at short notice, should the circumstance arise.
There are no cancellation charges, simply use us when you need us.
